[이데일리 스타in 임정우 기자] 뉴욕 메츠의 피트 알론소(27)가 미국프로야구 메이저리그(MLB) 올스타전 홈런 더비 2회 연속 정상에 올랐다.
알론소는 13일(한국시간) 미국 덴버의 쿠어스필드에서 열린 2021 MLB 올스타전 홈런 더비에서 우승을 차지했다. 2년 전 홈런 더비 챔피언인 알론소는 2회 연속 정상에 오르며 켄 그리피 주니어(1998·1999년), 요에니스 세스페데스(2013·2014년)에 이어 역대 세 번째로 2회 연속 홈런 더비 우승자로 이름을 올렸다.
