Its asking for donations so it can expand its shelter space. Kwwls Amanda Gilbert joins us live in the newsroom with more details. Right now the catholic worker house in waterloo has two different houses. One for homeless men and the other for homeless moms and children. Together these two houses can only support a handful of people. Thats why the catholic worker house wants to buy this blue home and turn it into another mens shelter. The group is looking to raise 45 thousand dollars so they can purchase this home. With the cold temperatures coming up they are worried about turning people away or making them sleep on the floor.
