The CBI said in view of the ongoing SFIO investigation in the case, IDBI Bank requested Union Bank of India-UBI (lead bank) through various emails to convene a JLM (joint lenders meeting) to take a considered view in the matter.
The CBI has told the Supreme Court that IDBI Bank has declared the former promoters/directors of Amtek Auto Ltd as "fraud" on September 26, and reported it to the RBI on October 4, and is in process of filing a complaint against them, .
While seeking to recover Rs2,320.45 crore from former promoters of Amtek Auto Ltd, the ministry of corporate affairs (MCA) has asked the Serious Fraud and Investigations Office (SFIT) to investigate the books and dealings of the company.
