OXNARD, Calif. - Police found a man dead following a stabbing in Oxnard Tuesday evening.
It happened around 6:15 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 5500 block of Cypress Road after receiving a call regarding a stabbing victim.
There, they found a 39-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
The police department said this is the fifth homicide in the City of Oxnard this year.
No details have been released regarding a suspect.

A 39-year-old Oxnard man died after he was stabbed multiple times on Tuesday night, according to the Oxnard Police Department.
The victim was reported around 6:15 p.m. in the 5500 block of Cypress Road across from East Clara Street. The location is part of the Cypress Gardens neighborhood on the southeastern edge of the city.
Police arrived on the scene of an abandoned agricultural lot to find the victim suffering multiple stab wounds. By the time paramedics arrived on scene, he had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The victim was stabbed with some kind of edged weapon or sharp object on the premises, according to Sgt. Edgar Fernandez, of the Oxnard Police Department s Major Crimes Unit.
