Students going why are we here were supposed to talk about race this is really hard. The other student said because you came because this is the first time and maybe the only time you wouldve talk to someone that looks like me. So, i see hope. These are not always for everyone. I do not think you have to worry as much about getting everyone in the conversation as starting the conversation, and bringing the students in an wielding these conversations out with real in and wielding these conversations out. If we think every time we meet we have to change the curriculum or redo everything, we will not make progress, but its every time we meet we have an income until idea, we try it, tested, put it back in place, students will come, start believing in the process. I think carolina conversations is one step and stay tuned i will come back next year and tell you about the rest. It is pretty important. I think almost every campus in america is probably going to be doing something more trying S

And he dropped a piece of paper to his floor and said to his audience notice how the paper darts back and forth, this is the kind of horse we have to learn to ride if we are going to fly. Host and how does it tie into the theme and themes of your book . Guest well, yeah. The interesting thing is why did the Wright Brothers fly first, and what was the process they used, because they werent the first people to have the idea of building a flying machine, and they werent the first people to try. Segment who age out. Amongst that group theres a high prevalence of prison involvement. Im not sure its actually 70 . I dont have the number in front of me, but its much higher than we wouldment. By supporting youth, preparing them for aging out, when we failed them by aging out, and preparing them after the age out, that number is hopefully coming down but its still a concern. Populous states are member of the compact and your biggest states are not. Right. And if you look at the folks who the states that have decided to be part of the physician licensure compact, states like i think its West Virginia and one of the dakotas, idaho. California is not going to do it any time soon. Texas is not going to do it any time soon for all kinds of reasons. Compacts solve part of the reason, but again, theyre only as good as how many states are part of the compact. Right. I think if this were an easy problem to solve, simon wouldnt be spending his time on it there is the question of how easy it is to get it done, and then the question of whether it would work if you could get it done. Its not that easy to get rid of state medical boards either. But while youre in the system of state medical boards, the knack there are some efforts moving forward, it could be that that is the most likely, even though theyre all somewhat less likely way to overcome the professional proble
