The Federal High Court in Abuja, on Tuesday, adjourned hearing till March 4 in a suit seeking to stop the imposition of an annual levy for a certificate of proof of vehicle ownership in the country.

Four firms made new announcements

A Federal High Court in Abuja adjourned a suit against the imposition of an annual levy for vehicle ownership proof to March 4, 2024.

The Federal Government had in June 2023 introduced a fee of N1,000 by all motorists annually for Proof of Ownership certificate verification.

    The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has filed a suit at the Federal High Court in Abuja, asking the court to sack the Minister of Art, Culture and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, for allegedly violating the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Act. The NBA Section on Public Interest and Development Law which filed the suit also asked the court to compel the NYSC to nullify the certificates given to the minister and a popular music promoter and CEO of Kennis Music, Kenny Ogungbe.
