Despite Jordan Roberts netting inside the first minute, Towns U23 side were beaten 3-1 by Charlton at Portman Road on Monday evening, their sixth straight league defeat at the start of the Professional Development League Two South season.

Luke Garbutt, Toto Nsiala and Ben Folami are set to continue their comebacks from injury when they feature for the U23s against Charlton Athletic at Portman Road this evening, while loan winger Anthony Georgiou will also be involved (KO 7pm).

Towns U18s moved to the top of the Professional Development League Two South table with a comfortable 5-0 victory against Bristol City at Playford Road on Saturday morning. Zak Brown (pictured) continued his rich vein of goalscoring form by netting twice, while the other goals came from Bailey Clements, Luca Vega and an own goal.
