John and gave us insight into mobile on squawk on the street. Take a listen. 75 of our gnb as well as 75 of the china Retail Market revenues come from mobile. So we have come a long way since two years ago when people were concerned about that issue but today we have just reported that our monetization of mobile users has exceeded the monetization. Alibaba shares up a little better than 5 . 4. 8 billion in revenue. 59 year on year we saw strong results and google putting its issues to rest. Have we reached a point just when it comes to Online Advertising and ecommerce where mobile is mainstream and investor concerns need to go away. This is the same transition that facebook made after the stock dropped and everybody thought their desktops were finished. Facebook figured it out. Stock is up a spectacular amount and mobile turned out to be a better revenue generator than the desktop so yes this transition is happening. Theres no question that this is where pretty much everything is going
Elevation partners. Good to have you with me as well. Ceo tim cook speaking at length with the Washington Post over the weekend. Talked about a ton of subjects including the iphone, the fight against the fbi succession and some of his biggest mistakes as ceo. On the iphone he says overtime im convinced that every person in the world will have a smartphone. That may take awhile and they wont all have iphones but its the greatest market on earth from a consumer point of view. He also says running the worlds most valuable company is a lonely job but hes not looking for any sympathy. Well start with you here. People have been dying for cook to be introspective for awhile. This is about as close as we have come. Its an interesting time to do it. Right before the big iphone launch. Its normally a slow season for their products. We now have the Washington Post piece. Its tim cook setting the table for how apple thinks about things. What kind of a Company Apple is. Can you imagine if youre an

Kayla is out today put with us is john fort and sarah on post 9. The markets arent moving a whole lot. An interesting skirmish in the telecon wars. A new unlimited data plan as well as the on going rivalry with sprint. Take a listen. 75 of my customer adds focus on those two and just copy paste everything i do and it will be fine. The sprint ceo joins us on the phone to respond. Its great to have you back. Good morning. Good morning, how are you. And they came out with their plan and have ledger on. Are you in fact trying to ride johns coat tails. No, never. What happened is something pretty simple. We started a week ago. We were going to start tomorrow. So what john did is basically copied our rate plans and called for an Emergency Press release. Were launching tomorrow and he is launching tomorrow at all of our stores so we would be ready for this for awhile. So obviously somebody that says hes not ready to launch the september is lying. We have the capacity to offer unlimited 4glte
7onseptember 9th with a release date of september 23rd interesting couple of weeks. You had the interview in the Washington Post and they have been in the cross hairs of the Trump Campaign but thats not discouraging them from making another step forward into china. Yeah. I mean, they have to. They have to you know, they depend heavily on growth in china. Thats one of the big things cook has pushed and he has done, you know, he was sort of the mastermind of this turnaround in china over the last few years and that turnaround has sort of run aground in the last year or so. Its unclear if this is all apples fault. Some of their sales slow down is because of greater problems in china but the other thing is, they have been hit by competition from low cost phones and this has been what looked like their achilles heel for awhile and its unclear if they can change that around they need to make their phones more attractive at the price that they are. Theyre doing worse on a year over year basis
