US Navy contracts Sikorsky for VH-92A LRIP helicopters

The US Navy (USN) on 5 February awarded Sikorsky a USD479 million firm-fixed-price contract modification to procure five VH-92A presidential helicopters, according to a Pentagon statement.
The award exercises options for the procurement of Lot 3 low rate initial production (LRIP) aircraft, associated interim contractor support, two cabin interior reconfiguration kits, support equipment, initial spares, and system parts replenishment. Work is expected to be completed by December 2023.
