In December, think tank Autonomy published a report which showed a four-day working week would be affordable for most companies with more than 50 workers.
The report said the majority of 50,000 firms studied would be able to cope with the change through higher productivity or by raising prices.
The think tank said the government should investigate ways of rolling out a four-day week, starting with the public sector.
Will Stronge, director of research at Autonomy, said: “For the large majority of firms, reducing working hours is an entirely realistic goal for the near future.

In 2010, The Times reported that Mr Bailey was at the centre of allegations that his North Kensington-based charity showed £16,000 worth of spending without any supporting records , with almost half of the charity s expenditure was on publicity and administration, not direct charitable expenditure .

StockMarketWire.com - Drug development company Evgen Pharma said the clinical trial evaluating its Covid-19 drug candidate SFX-01 was cleared to continue after a data safety monitoring committee found no safety concerns.
Initial data from trial is expected to be available during Q2 of the calendar year 2021.
Completion of recruitment to the STAR trial is anticipated at the end of 2021/early 2022, the company said.
