I was born where the thumb meets the index finger. In my 38+ years of life, about 20 of which have been in the college football equivalent of 1940s Berlin, Germany, I have endured. There is no going back.

I wrote one of these eleven years ago, when Michigan basketball took on Louisville in Atlanta. It never saw the light of day because Michigan did not win that game, but it was titled the same thing. I had largely opted out of the great grim period before John Beilein was hired and so the post had undertones of apology to those who did not, those hardy folks who stuck it out through Ellerbe and Amaker.

I'm going to bed in a moment. It's late. And I need to work tomorrow. But let's be honest for a minute - Corporate America is getting nothing out of me tomorrow and that's gonna need to be OK, especially on a January 2nd when most people are just trying to remember their name and what they do for a living. Sorry corporate America. (Ok - I'm totally NOT sorry - but read this anyway...)

Probably going to be lots of these diaries in the comings days, but here's my experience. Planning: Thank you to all those that dissuaded me from flying out the same night.  The most convincing point was "what if the game goes into OT" and of course it happens.  I think I would have been able to make that flight, barely, but more on that later.

There's more than one ending out there for Halloween 6, and each of them have their own respective twists and disturbing moments.

Love both Sam Webb and Devin Gardner. They really got into it today, disagreeing about signgate.  I'm kinda with DG on this one. But the sharp disagreement between two obvious Michigan Men underscores what a mess this is. Also: DG insists JJ was not at 100%. Says the play calling proves it.  Devin can't believe the River Dance thing actually happened until he is shown it live. Then he sort of defends it as desperation on Day's part.  And of course lots of raucous Michigan fun. ...
