Kent County no longer has to pay $12,000 to rent DeVos Place as a COVID-19 vaccination clinic. Administrator Wayman Britt says part of the reason for redoing the contract with SMG was public outcry when it was learned how much was being paid and the county commission also didn’t think it should be that much. The new deal is through March 31st and is also retroactive to January 18th. The county will pay for security, EMA, maintenance, and utilities.
