Nathan Chen blazed through an entertaining free skate to win his sixth consecutive title at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships, solidifying his status as one of the favorites for next months Beijing Olympics.

Chen dominated ahead of the Beijing Olympics, winning by nearly 26 points over his next closest competitor.

Nathan Chen won his sixth U.S. figure skating championship, cementing himself as the odds-on favorite at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.

Few if any athletes have had a run — well, a skate — like Nathan Chen since 2018. Chen finished fifth in the men's figure skating event at the Pyeongchang Games, following a fiasco of a short program for 17th place with a rousing free skate that he won to lift him near the medals podium.
