My Last Post Share: I am submitting this post on behalf of my father Dick Fearon (bluebyu696). Unfortunately my dad was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer. As I type he is currently in the palliative care ward at our local hospital in Bunbury, Western Australia and only has days to live.
A lifetime supporter of Everton, he has seen the highs and lows of our great club. He cherished the opportunity to air his opinions on this site and to have discourse with fellow members on anything blue.
He, along with my mum and three sons, emigrated to Australia in 1970 and followed Everton throughout. I remember the days crowded around a shortwave radio, listening to matches in the early hours of the morning here in Australia. With the onset of satellite TV, dad was able to watch every match live.
