The festival brings hundreds of wood carving enthusiasts from across the country and Canada together for demonstrations, classes and a vendor show with more than 46 booths.
So much wood, so whittle time, say the Lake Country Woodcarvers, who gather weekly to share joy in their craft
Though they were shut down for months due to COVID-19 safety protocols, the Lake Country Woodcarvers are once again getting together every Tuesday afternoon in downtown Detroit Lakes. The group gathers informally to socialize, work on wood projects, brainstorm ideas for new projects and learn different carving techniques from each other. The gatherings are open to all who have an interest in woodcraft.
