disparity between the lower end of this spectrum, particularly minorities, people of color. these schools should have never been closed, martha. randi weingarten and the union used these kids as pawns. these two years of education that they lost, they will never get them back. what i find disingenuous, they used covid as a pretext of the safest kids in the world were the kids if they stayed at school. we lost those years. the quality of education is so important. we still have a mayor in watch in d.c. still thinks the pandemic is still going on. it s tragedy. as a person of color, it s heart wrenching. education is a civil rights issue and the school district and the unions and the extreme left used these kids as pawns and they lost their education. martha: pete, i cannot understand where the outrage is. remember randi weingarten s outrage at people suggesting the schools should be reopened.
she would come on i interviewed her several times. we don t have the resources. we can t possibly. remember the teachers in front with the body bags and cemeteries saying if you make us go back, you re going to kill us. where is the passion around this issue? take a look at the allocation. 122 billion of the hard earned taxpayer money that went to covid relief was allocated to school. they haven t spent 87.5% on it. why are we hearing about resources if they weren t going to address the problem, pete? our assumption is that it was all about kids. i agree with everything leo said. this is about power and control for unions. where did the money go to? a lot went to diversity, equity inclusion counselors and more woke aspects of education as opposed to getting kids in school. this should shock nobody. it was to point the finger at
