Interview with Capture One’s CEO, Rafael Orta: How Capture One is becoming more agile than ever before
I recently chatted with Capture One s new CEO, Rafael Orta, to discuss his role with the company and his vision for Capture One moving forward. Capture One is a very popular photo editing and tethered capture solution for many photographers, hobbyists and professionals alike.
Orta and his family left Venezuela in 2003 and their next stop, Copenhagen, Denmark, marks their fifth international move. The jet setting Orta brings with him a wealth of experience in many different roles, including as a technical engineer, systems analyst and executive. Orta has previously worked for companies such as eBay, where he served as vice president for a decade.
Leica Women Foto Award winners announced: Matika Wilbur, Karen Zusman and Anna Boyiazis each focus on critical human stories
To celebrate International Women s Day on March 8, Leica announced the winners of its second-annual Leica Women Foto Project Award. The recipients, Matika Wilbur, Karen Zusman, and Anna Boyiazis, had their projects selected by a diverse panel of photography experts.
Each of Wilbur, Zusman and Boyiazis will receive $10,000 to use towards the completion of their respective projects in addition to a Leica Q2 camera (valued at $4,995). Each woman will also receive mentorship and professional development opportunities through Leica. You can view selected work from each woman below.

Laowa announces pair of lenses in new mounts
Venus Optics, makers of Laowa lenses, has announced that it now offers more variants to two of its popular lenses. The Laowa 11mm f/4.5 FF RL lens is now offered in Canon RF mount. The Laowa 65mm f/2.8 2x Ultra-Macro APO (APS-C) lens is now available in Z mount, working well with the Nikon Z50 APS-C mirrorless camera.
