The Davis Shakespeare Festival’s Digital Internship Program presents a spring Virtual Theatre Festival from Thursday through Sunday, April 29 to May 2.
The Digital Internship Program is an educational and experiential learning platform for university students and recent graduates seeking to broaden their horizons as future arts leaders. This semester’s program includes 12 participants from universities throughout the country and Canada.
Participants pitched, voted for, and produced the virtual festival featuring two plays streaming on YouTube. Both productions are free, with donations encouraged to selected nonprofit organizations.
The first play is a modern-verse translation by Ranjit Bolt of Shakespeare’s classic comedy about love, misunderstandings, and deception, “Much Ado About Nothing.”
