CCCCD officials have announced their top choice for a permanent replacement for a former cabinet member who was put on leave from the position prior to a settlement agreement last year that saw him formally part ways with the district.

Officials at the Contra Costa Community College District have announced Micaela Ochoa as their new executive vice chancellor of administrative services, an education leader who worked earlier in her career at Pleasanton Unified.

Prior to announcing a resignation agreement with the districts former chancellor, trustees and cabinet members at the Contra Costa Community College District received the findings of a damning investigation, new public docs reveal.

After being placed on paid administrative leave two weeks ago for the second time in his tenure, the embattled chancellor of the Contra Costa Community College District is making his exit, following just over a year on the job.

The CCCCD board has voted not to move forward with considering a censure of Board President Andy Li, deeming the San Ramon representative had not referred to closed-session deliberations in an open meeting, as had been alleged.

Contra Costa Community College District trustees will meet behind closed doors Thursday on potential discipline or firing of unnamed employees.
