The United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) has raised alarm that over 245,300 children who are under five years in Katsina State, North West of Nigeria are suffering from Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) and need immediate treatment. Katsina is the home state of President Muhammadu Buhari who has been in the saddle since May 2015. The UNICEF Chief of the Kano Field Office, Rahama Mohammed-Farah, disclosed this at a meeting for the Review and Dissemination of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) on Wednesday in Katsina.
