Worcester city councilors have asked the city manager to look into transferring oversight of Polar Park to the Council, instead of the existing Ballpark Commission, to increase transparency and public access.

The study looked at both Polar Park and Truist Park in Cobb County, Georgia, both of which were studied before their construction using pro forma projections to determine if they were financially viable.
