City has been leasing property for temporary fire station

Oceanside parents are keeping pressure on the school district to preserve a school bus line from the Crown Heights neighborhood to local schools, after the district announced plans to cancel the route.

Oceanside Unified School Board approved an interim budget with no projected shortfalls on Tuesday, and approved 3 percent raises for all employee groups except classified.

Impact on students, particularly at three grade schools, would be too great; instead, Reynolds and Surfside campuses will be revamped
