GAINESVILLE North Hall Athletic Director Sam Borg announced Thursday that assistant coach Wesley Adams has been named new head wrestling coach for the Trojans.
A North Hall graduate, Adams wrestled collegiately for the Division I Mercer Bears. For two of his four seasons at Mercer, he was team captain. In 2015, he served there as a graduate assist to the program.
In 2020, Adams was hired at North Hall to teach math and to assist the both the middle and high school wrestling programs. He takes over for David Nichols, who stepped down last month after five years at the helm of the program.
