Alachua County public schools have reported 294 staff and 641 student cases since Aug. 17. There are 10 active cases, including seven students and three staff members. Another 140 students or staff were quarantined for possible virus exposure by the weeks end. Alachua County reports 54 COVID-19 cases Thursday Statewide, Florida reported 6,118 new cases, for a total of 1,930,232. Thursday afternoon, 57 patients at Alachua County hospitals had a primary diagnosis of COVID-19 according to data from Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration.
