Chennai, Sep 18 (PTI) The ruling DMK in Tamil Nadu on Monday hit out at Governor R N Ravi for his comments regarding social discrimination in the state, alleging he was unable to digest its governance model of inclusive development and accused him of launching a false propaganda. At an event in Thanjavur on Sunday, Ravi had said there exists social discrimination in the society which was unacceptable.

Taking part in the discussion, the RJDs Manoj Kumar Jha quoted the chief architect of the Constitution B R Ambedkar and said democracy also meant "preventing tyranny of the majority". There is a need for a majority as governments cannot run without a majority but there is a "difference between majority and majoritarianism", he added.
