The longer the pandemic continues, the longer people are waiting to visit their doctors or turning to telehealth for their health concerns. But, some annual exams and screenings can t be done virtually.
Among them are cancer screenings which require in-person visits that shouldn t be skipped. If I had a choice, I would much rather get covid than have advanced prostate cancer, explained Doctor Amit Kumar, who has studied and researched cancer for more than 20 years.
Explaining, scientifically your chances of surviving covid-19 are much higher compared to your chances of making it through stage four prostate cancer. Adding, that cancer is normally a prolonged journey that can have a lot more ups and downs that drain the patient and their family.
