The State Corporation Commission is doing a biennial review of Dominion Energy Virginia – analyzing base rates as well as terms and conditions.

The SCC is offering time for members of the public to offer input on an application by Dominion Energy Virginia to revise its fuel rate effective July 1. 

If approved, the increase would add about $25 a month to the average residential customers bill.

The SCC says available numbers in 804 are expected to run out by mid- to late- 2024, so the new code would be a proactive step.
