Actually -- im not a fan of this white house, but you can see them becoming more communications savvy. i think the real question to me, i know ive gotten to know a few white house correspondents, they do really tough jobs. i wonder if the correspondents association is making the right decision by saying, this is great, well have past and present white house people here, well honor them, at the same time as the president of the united states is out there telling his supporters, these are dishones...

Of the united states to skip the correspondents dinner was this man, ronald reagan, as he was recovering from a gunshot wound suffered in an assassination attempt, and even then he still called in. we know this event hasnt stopped the business of the white house from taking place in the past. its only been canceled three times since it started in 1921. in fact, in 2011, president obama attended this dinner after giving the order to carry out a military raid in pakistan that ultimately led to the...

"saturday night live" dont support donald trump, but during the campaign at least, at least he went on the show and danced to a drake tune. i mean, it was funny. it was a moment that was surprising and funny, you know -- it was a breath of fresh air. if he did more of that, i think that would be better for him. >> i think one of the things about trump is that right now, if he felt that not just the deplorables he was talking about visiting in his fund-raising e-mail, what i think of as the respe...

This picture from barbara bushs funeral yesterday. a lot of people are looking at this. look at the smiles. look at the combination of people who are there. a common theme from that funeral yesterday was sort of this craving people felt, this pull to a time when there was civility. >> i think this is the photo of the weekend. honestly, maybe the photo of the year so far because of what it shows and what it doesnt show. there was obviously this weekend a longing for the republican party of the pa...
