with a governor of colorado, played a little pool. these photos going viral as the president having a little bit of fun as this crisis continues. and the white house continues to say they see no need for the president to go down and look at the border himself. ed henry, thank you. now to the other crisis brew willing, tbrewing, the v.a. scandal, taking the case to capitol hill. close to 300 individuals, i was labeled a rat. i was labeled the person who the ratted out this person. the v.a. in my opinion has routinely intimidated any employee who brings forth information that is contrary to the public image that the v.a. wishes to project. i do not think that the chief of staff or the chief of mental health who just contacted me two weeks ago have any concern about their position being threatened in any manner. i can tell that you whistleblowers who shared information with me to take to the committee are scared to cooperate.
to make that contagious? let s agree that you have to have the right culture. and the only thing that changes culture quickly is agony and pain. there is plenty to go around in the v.a.. so i would bring my management team in and start with the following premise. we ll be client centric and solution based. client is veterans. what are the solutions required? you re either on board or not. if you re not, get out of the room. i ll throw you down a flight of stairs. you have to coalesce and keep focus on who the client is. only way you can rectify the skins and shirts mentalities in big organizations. the throw them down the stairs option is probably why you were not considered. i m glad i wasn t. joe grano, always calls the way he sees them. the housing market has been down. is he me or are only the banks paying up? legs, for crossing. feet.splashing. better things than the joint pain and swelling
v.a.. the conference committee on v.a., there was a republican meeting today. and by the way, i m not on the veterans committee. i just trained in the v.a. health center and i also know a little bit about health care. but you were on the conference committee. i am on the conference committee. okay. i apologize. and it s working. our problem deals more with the congressional budget office and the lack of realistic scores that were getting from them. the score they re giving us is more than we spend entire in a year on the vets that we re serving now. so it s not anywhere close to accurate. and that s the problem when you have people making decisions that aren t actually knowledgeable in the field. so we re hoping that they will listen to some of the explanations and some of the costs on the data that we do have from the v.a.. when you say the costs, i m told it s another $54 billion to the v.a. on top of what they get now. is that wrong?
demanding a desk audit would would force v.a. to pay me for all the work i d done and push for back pay. i didn t follow up on those complaints just so that i could focus on my whistleblower complaint because i didn t want anybody to take away from the information i was bringing to people like you in the press swellings the congress and the white house. and you took a financial hit for that and treated like a pariah for that. and you passed up bonuses. so for that, you are to be thanked. scott davis, thank you very much. thank you. in the meantime, do not mess with texas. congress telling the president of the united states if he wants the bucks to flow, you better stop this flow. but i ve managed. i got to be pretty good at managing my symptoms, except that managing my symptoms was all i was doing. when i finally told my doctor, he said my crohn s was not under control.
that s what they re scoring it at. i can tell you as an accountant and a doctor, that is absolutely ludicrous and i won t vote for any bill that adds another dollar to the v.a. that isn t offset within somewhere within the government. and you said in the past money isn t the issue. it s the confidence of the people. so as it continues to happen, i don t mean to jump on you, senator, but is there anything that can be done in the interim to go ahead, get mcdonald in there, let him bang some heads, fire some people, deal with the pr repercussions later? i ll be meeting with him. i ll look forward to that meeting. the fact is that if you don t give him the authority to handle the accountability and the responsibility he ll have, he won t be successful. remember, the white house said there was a corrosive culture in the v.a. in middle management. those people can t be fired.
