The Miami Seaquarium, an old-Florida style tourist attraction that was home to Lolita, the beloved Orca that died last year, is being evicted from the waterfront property it leases from Miami-Dade County

Richard O'Barry, who used to work at the Seaquarium, captured and trained over 100 dolphins in the 1960s, was responsible for training the five dolphins who played the role of "Flipper"

CEO Eduardo Albor has rejected calls to shut down in a nine-page letter saying the allegations of neglect were unfounded and vowing to take the county to court if necessary.

As cool as this video is, these beautiful mammals shouldn't be kept in captivity.

For decades, the Miami Seaquarium was the city's marquee attraction. Now, after Lolita's death and the threat of closure, it sits in a derelict state.
