wearing that night. what jumps out at you that people really need to pay attention to in terms of solving what happened? the gruesome nature of those photos. they didn t show them on camera but the jury did see them. part of the defense in this case is there is no way someone close to these defendants, the father of one of the victims, could do such a totally gruesome crime. that s going to be a big part of the defense. it was in the opening and i expect to see the same thing throughout the case and again in the closing. harris: to flip it, though, is that a defense because it s too gory to look at you couldn t have done it because you knew the victims? it is a very difficult case to defend. there is great evidence against the defendant in this case. so one of the things that the attorney defense attorney said in his opening that i thought was interesting. the law says he didn t do it. he is right about that. that s a presumption of
