Andrew Carnegieâs story to be told to the world from Fringe festival HE’S one of the most famous and certainly one of the richest Scots that ever lived, and now the musical about Andrew Carnegie starring his great-great-great-grandson is to go global for first time in an online Edinburgh Fringe production from tomorrow. A video of the musical by Ian Hammond Brown about the life of the legendary Dunfermline-born businessman and philanthropist, starring his great-great-great grandson Joe Whiteman in the title role, will be available to a global online audience. The two-hour video of Carnegie – The Star Spangled Scotchman, recorded during its two-night run at Carnegie Hall, Dunfermline, in May 2019 as part of events to mark the centenary of his death, will be available to stream on the Fringe Player from tomorrow. It will be the first time the show has been seen outside Scotland.
