Edward Lee Ginsbach of Chanhassen, MN passed away peacefully March 30, 2024 at his home in Milford, MI surrounded by his family. Ed was born Jan. 25, 1938 in Jamestown, ND to Arnold and Donna Mae Ginsbach. He attended grade school in a one-room school, and 7th and 8th grade in Edmunds. Eddie graduated from Jamestown High School in 1956 and Jamestown College in 1960. He worked on the family farm and played junior legion baseball in Jamestown in 1954 and 1955 as a member of two state championship teams. Eddie played college baseball and was captain of the team his senior year. Ed started his teaching and coaching career in Harvey, ND in 1960 where he was also head wrestling coach. He married in 1960 and moved to St. Louis Park, MN in 1963 to continue his teaching and coaching career until 1975. Ed joined the Edina Realty sales force for 3 years and then became a sales manager at the Edina Realty Minnetonka office for 19 years before retiring in 2000. Ed was a member of the national guard for 8 years, former Elks member and very active in the community and Lions Club of Chanhassen. Ed was a charismatic man and a friend of many people who enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting, woodworking, sports and playing cards. Ed was proud of his family and survived by sons Todd (Elizabeth) and Jason Ginsbach, and daughter Linda (Jake) Wells and seven grandchildren. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ron Ginsbach and sister Sandy Balster. Memorial: May be sent to the Chanhassen Lions Club. Services are pending.
