‘Pretty uneventful’: Winter storm dumps up to 10 inches of snow, but Hudson County mostly avoids accidents and outages

Hudson County’s first major snowstorm in more than a year came and went quietly, blanketing homes, but protecting their power, and covering streets, but not prompting collisions.
In a year that saw society shutter in favor of safety, winter storm Gail which dumped as much as 10 inches of snow in some places in the county felt more like a novelty than a disturbance a week before Christmas.

On Thursday morning, Weehawken resident Jason Ingram was out in front of his house shoveling snow off his driveway. The storm “was pretty uneventful,” he said.
