The National Weather Service has confirmed a total of three tornadoes from Monday night s storms.One of them was on the ground Northeast of Roland around 9:45 pm Monday.40/29 Radar indicated the tornado had a debris field as it headed toward Dora north of Interstate 40. Another snapped trees as it blew with a maximum wind speed above 100 mph. It began 5 miles south of Moffett and moved to the north side of Fort Smith, went through Van Buren, and continued northeast. A third tornado hit north of Dyer in Crawford County. It traveled 2.7 miles, uprooted numerous trees and blew down power poles. We were sitting there in the dark and then all of a sudden it just rolled in and everything. We heard a terrible noise, but it was too late to do anything by then anyways, said Donnie Woodard.Woodard lives on Garrison Creek Rd. in Roland.
