The risk management pool for Maine's counties paid $415,000 in legal fees and a $385,000 settlement to Brian Dunnigan over his allegations that York County Jail officers broke several of his ribs and left scars on his chest with a Taser.

In his suit, Brian Dunnigan alleged a supervisor repeatedly jolted him with a Taser while corrections officers pinned him in his cell five years ago.
