New twists in the case of murdered Jeffreys Bay resident Clyde Stuurman, which shocked the close-knit community and saw people rally together to try to keep his alleged killer, Donovan Wolf, behind bars, have been revealed in court papers.

The conduct of a Humansdorp prosecutor, accused of failing to report the sexual abuse of a minor to authorities, has been labelled improper and irregular in at least two other court cases.

For 20 months before the arrests of a man and his stepson, charged with the incestuous rape of a minor, a Humansdorp prosecutor apparently knew what was going on in the “house of horrors”, but chose not to report it.

In a shock twist to the sordid Paradise Beach rape case involving a father, his daughter and her half-brother, a prosecutor has been arrested for allegedly failing to report the suspected crimes.

Just more than two weeks after alleged murderer Donovan Wolf was granted bail in the high court in Gqeberha, the state filed an application for leave to appeal against the decision by deputy judge-president David Van Zyl.
