Vera Kay Peck, 72, of Burlington Township, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the Burlington Church of God, with Pastor David Rails officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Tekonsha. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the Burlington Church of God, just prior to the funeral.
Kay was born January 30, 1949 in Marshall, Michigan to LesLeigh K. and Marge L. Freer. She grew up in Marshall and graduated from Marshall Schools in 1969. Upon graduation she went to a special school to learn to read and write for her dyslexia. She worked six months at the Regional Center (State Home) in Coldwater Michigan, where she received training in nursing care and then worked 26 years at Maple Lawn Care Facility in Coldwater, Michigan.
