Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman announced convicted murderer Atrel M. Hudson, age 29, was sentenced this morning to serve a term of 45 years to Life in State Prison by County Court Judge John Ottaviano.

Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman announced that Gilbert Cruz, age 35, of Niagara Falls, plead guilty this morning to the charge of murder in the second degree. Cruz admitted to murdering 57-year-old Timothy Weymer in Niagara Falls on Feb. 7, 2022.

Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman announced a Niagara County jury convicted Atrel M. Hudson, age 29, of murder in the first degree, burglary in the second degree, and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, in the killing of 28-year-old Mariah Wilson in her Niagara Falls apartment on Sept. 4, 2020.

Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman announced Matthew H. Figura plead guilty to the murder of Patrick M. DeLuca this morning in County Court. Figura admitted to killing DeLuca, age 36, of Niagara Falls on June 3, 2021, at Niagara Metals in Niagara Falls, where both were employed.

Nicholas Bartek was given a sentence of 20 years to life in state prison for the death of 26-year-old Wayne E. Jackson II of Youngstown.

Nicholas Bartek pleaded guilty to charges related to beating a Youngstown man to death.

Billy Benton, Jr. was also sentenced to 40 years for an unrelated shooting that took place several months earlier.
