candidates looked to score of course some last-minute points. they took part in two debates in less than 12 hours. the person who should represent our party running against president obama is not someone who called him a remarkable leader and went to be his ambassador in china. this nation is divided, david, because of attitudes like that. [ applause ] we want someone when the time gets tough, and it will in this election, we want someone who is going to stand up and fight for the conservative principles, not bail out and not run, and not run to the left of ted kennedy. can we drop a little bit of the pious baloney? you have been running consistently for years and years and years. so this idea that suddenly citizenship showed up in your mind. just level with the american people. you have been running at least since the 1990s. well, mitt romney is trying to seal the deal. he is out rallying supporters in new hampshire, trying to win over last-minute converts. cnn s j
is spending millions of dollars to flood the airwaves with anti-romney attack ads. is this payback time for newt gingrich? i m wolf blitzer and you re in the situation room. president obama dropped a bit of a bombshell a little while ago in an unscheduled appearance announcing bill daily is stepping down after just a year. he ll. replaced by the budget director, jack lou. here s jessica yellin. she s working the story for us. jessica, what s going on over here? well, wolf, first of all the president actually said that bill daley wants to spend more time with his family. let s listen to part of what the president had to say and then we ll talk about it a little bit on the back end. here s the president. obviously, this was not easy news to hear. and i didn t accept bill s decision right away. in fact, i asked him to take a couple of days to make sure that he was sure about this. but in the end, the pull of the hometown, we both love. a city that s been synonymous with
this president has sanitized every defense document. everything. the word radical islam doesn t appear anywhere. why? because we re fight we re trying to fight this politically correct war and not talking about how they hate us and what we must do to stop us. we know you have differences with president obama, but who has the better argument between snoe santorum and huntsman? i would send troops back into iraq. now? i think we start talking with the iraqi individuals there, the idea that we allow the iranians to come back into iraq and take over that country with all of the treasure both in blood and money that we have spent in iraq, because this president wants to kowtow to his liberal leftist base and move out the men and women. he could have been renegotiated that time frame. i think it s a huge error for s us. we re going to see iran in my opinion, move back in at literally the speed of light. they re going to move back in and all of the work that we have done,
