Caleb Simpson has undergone four surgeries since the San Francisco Giants drafted him in 2013, but he is throwing better than ever at 29 years old.
The right-handed relief pitcher appeared in only 14 games (14 ⅓ innings) from 2013-16. He slipped a disc in his neck in 2013. He had a bone marrow transfusion (elbow) surgery in 2014, then Tommy John surgery in 2015. He underwent labrum surgery in 2016. He underwent a procedure to repair a torn lat in 2018.
