The Florida High School Athletic Association Board dropped questions about student-athletes’ menstrual cycles from a physical evaluation form.

The Florida High School Athletic Association voted 14-2 to remove questions pertaining to menstrual information from health forms for female athletes.

Following calls from political leaders, teachers and parents, the Florida High School Athletic Association removed all questions about student athletes' menstrual cycles from its physical examination forms and revoked its requirement that students turn their entire forms in to schools.

After an outcry, the Florida High School Athletic Association Board of Directors on Thursday dropped questions about student-athletes’ menstrual cycles from a physical evaluation form.

It was a big win for student privacy when the Florida High School Athletic Association board of governors voted to remove questions related to a female athlete's period from physical evaluation forms.
