Here. Nastia is sailing ships, she says. Ukraine has been at war all the eight years shes known. I think it will be better without them, she says. It was uncomfortable having them here. Her parents nearby say fear meant their slept in their clothes all the six months. Its kind of strange here to see how almost unaffected so much of this town has been and how life seems to have slipped comfortably back into normal when the russians just picked up and left. And it gives you a feeling of how normality must still reign just a matter of six kilometers away from the border in russia. But normal is never coming back, particularly to here, the borderline itself. Russia retreated back over it but must now live with the hatred it has stirred. The fact that Ukrainian Forces are able to push right up to here, the beginning of the Border Buffer Zone with russia, russia is just a matter of kilometers in that direction, is yet another Calamity Moscow has imposed upon itself. at the border, power outages said to be coming. and of course the russian invasion of ukraine which just added $40 billion to america s tab. we could debate whether any one of these items is truly the fault of the president. but the reality is they are all unfolding on his watch. and here come the midterms. typically the party in the white house sees the loss of two dozen of its congressional seats. this year democrats seem headed for much worse. there just aren t enough ultra maga doug mastrianos that could allow focus next november to be taken off this national funk. a few an moreent tkweurgzs to be sure, but too few to stop the tidal wave in the forecast. americans are really feeling the pinch with inflation at a 40-year high. until recently, there had pwhrpb some consolation for the 58 million americans in the stock market because it was still doing well. but that s no longer the case. this week the s&p and dow had historic down days. friday the s&p 500 briefly fell into
[dramatic music] breaking news out of georgia. Democrat Raphael Warnock and democrat jon ossoff has won the Senate Runoff election. This is the new georgia. This is a state that is changing like the country is changing. The big factor in black voters matter, its the new georgia project. You have black genius and grassroots genius on display, and black joy. We vote all we win we vote all we win welcome to the new georgia. Welcome to the blue georgia. Republicans taking another step to prevent what they believe is voter fraud at the polls. 48 states have introduced at least 389 bills to restrict voting. Both of those senate seats flipped from red to blue, and so republicans in georgia want to make sure that that doesnt happen again. Anytime a Political Party abuses their power to actually put laws in place so that whoever does not vote for them, they can prevent them from voting, that in itself is political corruption. We are fighting for our lives we are fighting for our votes we are fi
Howard weve all seen this movie before way too many times, its washington Melodrama Beloved by the media, suspenseful story, a ticking clock. Its a selfinflicted crises with a Government Shutdown hanging in the balance, and journalists start issuing dire warnings of all the people whod be hurt if the feds cant pay their bills. Talk about a waste of time, an endless parade of dysfunction. Its real americans who will be paying the price while the elect representatives who are suppose to be working for you, they arent doing that. A Government Shutdown that will leave roughly 7 million women and children without s. M. A. P. Benefits which means they could go hungry. Active duty Military Members will go without pay. Howard the warnings come true and the focus shifts to how long the politicians will keep squabbling before coming to their senses, or theres a last minute if deal. Thats what happened last night. And usually that means a stopgap funding measure, in this case about six weeks, tha
