this during the olympics, which start in just a week? >> that's a really good question. i think putin wants to hype up the sense that he's, you know, closely tied to china. china and russia both have common sort of enemy in the united states. but, you know, i don't think china puts that much stock in russia. russia's economy is tiny compared to china. russia is on the downslide, losing their 21st century, china wants to -- needs the world economy, because they're winning. where as russia wants to sort of topple it to get their way. so i think, you know, they're together as far as they're together, so i don't think putin wants to upset xi, who wants to be proud of the olympics. so my guess is that he, you know, wouldn't do something while the olympics are on. but, again, there is so many factors here to take into play, it is hard to know. >> well, we appreciate you helping us understand this multitude of factors as only you

welcome back. the dow snapped a six-day winning streak closing lower tuesday as walmart posted its worst day in over 30 years. we're joined live from london and what's behind walmart's downslide? >> absolutely. so dow is below 25,000 again basically on back of that walmart move. and this is their margins got a lot compressed the last quarter of the year on increasing competition from amazon, and also due to exit promotions which have hit their margins as well. only 23% in the last quarter versus 50% in the previous quarter so a lot of pressure on walmart there. elsewhere, another story for you. general motors have proposed a $2.8 million investment in north korea as a restructuring plan. they've been in talks to see
