A New Hampshire corrections officer is facing charges of assault and witness tampering.

Shirley resident Vincent Eramo was selected the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference baseball Player of the Week, while Dracut resident and freshman Jessica St. George was named MASCAC women’s lacrosse Rookie of the Week.

The superintendent confirmed the suspect is no longer employed by the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections. He faces two felony counts of second-degree assault, one felony count of witness tampering, and one charge of criminal threatening, police said.
