Former Red Sox slugger David Ortiz's Weston home sold on March 31, 2021.
On the same day the Boston Red Sox reunited with fans at home for the first time in over a year, news broke that the teamâs former slugger David Ortiz and his wife, Tiffany, found a buyer for theirs.
The Ortizes sold their 7,714-square-foot Weston mansion set on 2.15 acres for $3.5 million, according to the Southern Middlesex County Registry of Deeds. The home at 16 Driftwood Lane was first listed at $6.3 million in February 2019, and again in 2020 at $5.4 million. In October 2020, the price was adjusted to $4.2 million, according to the listing.
Dr. James âJimâ Newell Boydston, DVM
TAVARES, Fla. — Dr. James “Jim” Newell Boydston, DVM, 86, of Tavares, Fla., formerly of Escanaba, Michigan (1977-2019) and Wauseon, Ohio, passed away on February 21, 2021, due to injuries sustained in a fall. He was surrounded by his loving family as he passed peacefully into his Heavenly home.
Jim was the first child of James L. And Wyona Boydston, born in Adrian, Mich. on August 10, 1934. After his father graduated from veterinary school at Michigan Agricultural College (now MSU), the family eventually settled in Wauseon, Ohio. Jim met the love of his life, Lois, and they were married on September 11, 1955. The new couple moved to MSU where Jim completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and their first child Linda Sue was born.
