Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) on Thursday announced framework agreement awards valued at $1.94 billion (AED7.1 billion) to enable drilling growth.

The extended contract covers 2 drilling rigs, 13 workover units and 13 pulling units on Pan American’s Cerro Dragon field in the Golfo San Jorge basin in southern Argentina.

ADX Energy has advised that drilling operations on the Anshof-3 exploration well have been completed and the RED Drilling & Services (RED) E-200 rig was released. The well has been suspended in preparation for completion with production tubing utilising a workover rig prior to testing and potential long-term production there-after.
