BRUNSWICK COUNTY, Va. Troopers have released the name of a 66-year-old Emporia man killed in a motorcycle crash in Brunswick County Sunday afternoon.
State police were called to the single-vehicle crash with injuries on Dry Bread Road west of Reavis Gin Road just after 2:40 p.m.
Troopers said Jerry Wayne Hubbard, of the 400 block of Cleveland Avenue in Emporia, was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle when he lost control, ran off the road into a ditch.

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, Va. - State Police is investigating a fatal single motorcycle crash that took place Sunday afternoon.
Police say around 2:40 p.m., they responded to a crash on Route 611 (Dry Bread Road) west of Route 673 (Reavis Gin Road).
Police say the driver of a 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle, 66-year-old Jerry Wayne Hubbard, lost control of the motorcycle, ran off the road and into a ditch, ejecting Hubbard.
Hubbard was taken to Southern Virginia Regional Medical Center where he later died from the injuries, police say.
