Forde wasn’t only impressed with the amount of Canadian talent available this year, but the variety of positions they played.
“It’s crazy,” he said. “One of the things that really stands out, almost even more than the absolute number, is the distribution of those players in terms of position.
“It used to be, many of the Canadians playing at American schools and many of the guys being looked at by the NFL, a disproportionate number were offensive and defensive lineman, not necessarily your skill guys. Now so many skill guys are at that level, playing at American and Canadian schools. The game has come a long way.”
