A doctor at a Dutch weight-loss clinic is selling prescriptions for the diabetes drug Ozempic, currently popular among people wanting to lose weight, via Marktplaats. RTL Nieuws bought a six-month prescription from the BIG registered doctor for 200 euros. He sent the prescription to a pharmacy and the medicine was delivered without a consultation, medical check, or even asking about other medications being used.
Several beauty clinics in Noord-Brabant allow employees to inject Botox and fillers without the required basic doctor’s training and recommended training as a cosmetic doctor. These clinics offer their own training and certificates and require no previous education, Omroep Brabant reports. The broadcaster found around 20 clinics in Noord-Brabant that perform cosmetic procedures for which their staff aren’t trained.
Home prices rose again in the past month. According to Statistics Netherlands (CBS), owner-occupied homes cost 0.2 percent more in June than a month earlier. Prices fell in the previous four months.
Due to the sharply falling house prices in the Netherlands, there is a risk that people will adjust their expectations accordingly and automatically assume that house prices will continue to fall in the future. Dutch board member Paul Hilbers of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) warned against this in conversation with the ANP.
